Episode 70 - Dustin Parkes On John Farrell
Managers are one of the most inscrutable things in baseball. How do you define success or failure for a major league manager? Wins and loses? That's a terrible measurement. This is interesting because the Red Sox in essence hired Blue Jays manager John Farrell to become the manager in Boston. Farrell's record in Toronto was a mediocre one but the Red Sox front office thought he was the man to return the team to their former glory. Dustin Parkes of The Score's Getting Blanked Blog joins Matthew Kory to discuss Farrell as a manager, the role of a manager in baseball, and our inability to analyze it correctly. It's all here on the 70th Over The Monster Podcast.
